Join us to learn about deaf culture and community

Wichita State University has deaf students, faculty members and parents that identify as a member of the deaf community. In an effort to spread awareness of deafness, deaf culture and the deaf community, The Office of Disability Services is hosting an event called Deaf Deaf World from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 in room 142 of the Rhatigan Student Center.

All are invited to come experience a day in the lives of people who are deaf. The event will include informational booths on speech pathology, audiology, American Sign Language, sign language interpreting, deaf culture, and deaf history. In addition, we will have interactive booths for learning signs and showcasing some local deaf talent. A free T-shirt will be given as a door prize to the first 100 participants who attend each booth!
