Annual EcoFest Wichita Sept.19

The sixth annual EcoFest Wichita, featuring food, music, eco-activities, vendors, advocates and environmental art from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 19 at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 7202 E. 21st Street North.

Ecofest Wichita is a family-friendly celebration designed to inspire and empower people to make a difference for the environment and promote eco-stewardship. This year will include Betty’s Place, an outdoor space for kids of all ages that explores the environment, and art, with a certified butterfly waystation and bee-friendly flower garden, stage, totems and more. The event will also include more than 40 exhibits, speakers, social action groups and vendors.

Admission is $3 ($2 if you bring a reusable water bottle or ride your bike to the event). Admission is free for children younger than 12. For more information, call 316-213-9719 or email wichitaecofest@gmail.com
